Palmeiras SE heeft de Otten Innovation Cup 2026 gewonnen. In een finale vol wendingen versloegen de Brazilianen gastheer PSV met 1-2, ondanks dat ze de laatste minuten met en man minder moesten spelen.

PSV begon het sterkst en had via Sebas Ditmer en Milan Mutsers de openingstreffer op de schoen, maar telkens stond de Braziliaanse doelman Luiz Fernando Souza da Silva in de weg. Toch was het Palmeiras dat in de twaalfde minuut toesloeg: na een assist van Victor Gabriel Leite dos Santos rondde Vinicius Martins de Lima koelbloedig af, 0-1. Met die stand ging de rust in.

PSV-doelman Kane Aerts hield na de pauze zijn ploeg overeind met knappe reddingen op inzetten van Victor Gabriel Leite dos Santos en Fabiano Rodrigues Pereira. After the break, the Brazilian keeper found his match in PSV goalkeeper Kane Aerts, who kept his side alive with fine saves to deny Victor Gabriel Leite dos Santos and Fabiano Rodrigues Pereira. But the closing stages turned frantic.
